Backup Cline Website

Use the steps below to create a backup of the Cline Center website using the 'Backup and Migrate' module.

Step-by-step guide

Creating a backup

  1. Log into Drupal using the following link: (production site) https:%%//%%clinecenter.illinois.edu/user/login or (dev site) https:%%//%%dev.clinecenter.illinois.edu/user/login.
  2. Next click on the 'Configuration' button found in the top menu of the user interface.
  3. Scroll down and within the 'Development' section find 'Backup and Migrate'.  Click on this.
  4. Next, on this page, there should be several tabs.  Make sure you land on the 'Backup' tab.  Below there should be two options: 'Quick Backup' and 'Advanced Backup'.  Stay on the 'Quick Backup' option.
  5. For 'Backup Source' make sure it says “Default Drupal Database' and for 'Backup Destination' say 'Download'.  Next, click on 'Backup Now'.
  6. After a few seconds, a gzip file will be downloaded to your desktop.  This file contains the backup of the website.
